Unhappy With Amazon

Am I the last one to know about the new return policy? I returned an item today because it wasn’t what was portrayed and that should have been no big deal, right?

Well, the new rules say you have to repackage them in the box/bag in which they were originally sent which is totally different than previously where all that was necessary was to provide the item to be returned along with the bar code return to be scanned.

I did that, I packaged it up and returned the item to my local UPS store, and just received this email: “Based on our verification of the item, if the item is not the item for which you had requested a return, is not in the same quantity, or not in new/unused condition, we will charge your original payment method or another valid payment method in your account.”

WTAF? So, someone I don’t know is going to examine the returned item and I will be forced to rely upon that assessment? AND they’ll charge my card AND I won’t have the stupid item? I’m completely out — it sounds like a swindle, in my opinion.

It’s going to change the amount of purchases from Amazon, that’s for sure. I’ll think long and hard about this before I click my cart.

This was a bad, bad idea. Thanks for nothing, Jeff Bezos!
